Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 6:57 am)
oh this is scary!! I thought the tool size was small in 5.... I don't have my 6 yet... I wonder if 6 is tied to our monitor/display font sizes or conflicts with it??? I know some web sites are... and also my photoshop will NOT get larger icons or type/tools even though I have my monitor set to large font ....
The other big question that occured to me is: Will vue 6 handle more MESH - models and it's own cubes etc. without crashing? I have a high end machine and I remember so many big ideas I had for vue with buildings and stuff that did NOT work out...ie: the DAZ Taj Majal (spell) and then I used vue's own blocks for streets, had one bridge...and when I imported more than 2 people, vue crashed... I kept deleting objects out till my whole idea was pretty much gone... I don't remember reading anything about how the new 6 handles resources?
Life Requires Assembly and we all know how THAT goes!
I like the gizmos much; it’s familiar to my Cinema, Carrara and many other applications.
Mazak
I used wireframe mode in 5 because it always crashed when I rendered using Open GI. I have a new high end computer so I don't know what the problem is. Same applies to 6.
The Gizmos unfortunately do not enlarge, only the box area enlarges but the little icons themselves remain the same very small size - difficult to see!!
:)
What if the crashes you get were more related to the "background draw thread"? This setting allows Vue vue to redraw the scene in all viewports after a change. For trade off between quality and stability, I leave the slider in the middle. With Poser imported figures, I completely disable it. Saves resources.
Just a thought.

Is there by chance a way to enlarge the manipulation tools??? They are so bloody small...not only that they are different than Vue 5's and I hate them :) I am having trouble using the rotate one being that it is so small.
Is there help for an old half-blind person like me???
Thanks!
:)
