Subject: Material animation in PPP

I just installed PPP and am already having a little trouble. I'm trying to use the Material animation and it doesn't seem to be working at all. I've read through the Users Guide and followed the directions, but the material doesn't change...it stays at whatever the last change I made was. I'm trying to change Posettes texture from the regular P4 female to another texture during a short animation. I'm checking the "animateable" box and making the texture the P4 in the first frame and the new texture in the 30th frame. But the texture stays at whatever the previous texture was. It doesn't change at all. Whats going on?

"Materials" can only be animated, not texture maps. Just the colors - yeah, I know it's confusing. -JH

No wonder! And I had such high hopes, too. Bummer. Thanks for clarifying it for me.

IF you port it over into lightwave via the LW plugin then full map and material animatiion is possible. With both procedurals, colors, maps, and just about anything else you can dream of.

Lightwave...can I find that somewhere on the ProPack disk? Just joking - but wouldn't it be nice if Curious Labs could get NewTek to give the same kind of special pricing ($1000) to Poser users that they did for those who own apps like After Effects? Bet there would be quite of few of our advanced users who would make the jump.
