Subject: where is the best tutorial for doing a V3 animation in ProPack?

Lookin for good links, please make them starter tutes as this will be my first animation attempt. Looking for things like: turning head from side to side, waving, and eventually speaking, breathing, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

I don't know about tutorials, but the single most useful bit of advice I read was: forget the Animation window and do everything in the Graph editor. Using the Graph editor allows you to control the smoothness and sharpness of the movements to create more natural motion. You might also try the Animation forum on Renderosity--you might get good advice and pointers there.

Animation has been the same since Poser 3.

You need to understand the concept of the Key Frames, and Interpolation.  What makes Poser really cool is all you need to make an animation is 2 poses(a Beggining and and Ending Key Frame.)

For example open you favorite V3 scene, and look down to the Animation pallette.  By default there will be two boxes with numbers.  The one on the left will be "1"(Meaning you are currently on frame(Not Key Frame) 1.  The other number will be 30(Meaning the scene has the potential for a 30 frame animation.

O.K. make sure th number on the left is "1".  Then hit the "Key"(Frame) button the right side of the Animation Pallette.  Now change that number "1" to 30, by clicking on the number.

Repose V3; raise her hand to a wave, tilt her head up, open her other arm, etc.  Now hit that Key button again.

Now when you hit the play button Poser will Interpolate frames 2 - 29 by calculating what they should be as averages of the two Key Frames...tada Animation!

So, say you like the animation, but think that the Interpolation is'nt quite right...somewhere around frame 15...Then go to frame 15, adjust that pose a little, and click the Key button again.  This force the Interpolation to go through that key on it's way from the first to the last!
