Poser 7 hasn't been released yet, so only preordering  is possible.
The downloads and coupons will be activated when it is actually released.

pacman323:

We are all as eager and anxious for the release date as you are. Some speculation places the release date at or around 11/17/06 because that is th release date of the new James Bond movie "Casino Royale" and the special content of Poser 7 has a casino theme. But, E-F/CP have two reasons to yet announce and one wonders if they can do so before November 17th.

No, the sooner the better. ;D

One more question about whether interPoser Pro will work with Poser 7 without any way to return a knowledgable answer and I'm goin' 'postal'. ;P

It should work just the same as pointing your P6 to your P5 runtime.  I know all of my content is out on external runtimes on an external USB 2 drive and I didn't have any problems with P6 using the content.

Does that mean that you don't know if it will work? Now, come on, will it, will it? ;)

Maybe you could contact E-Frontier and suggest getting on the Beta team so you can check this. Or ask if they can direct you to someone on their beta team that can check it for you? Just a friendly suggestion.

No time for being on the Beta team - interPoser Pro is a Cinema 4D plugin that I'm developing.  Barely time to be on my own beta team. :)  Beta testers for Poser cannot divulge information - they are under an NDA.  I already know one who lives relatively nearby.

I just wait for release like everyone else - but some people think that I must have insider info - nope. :D

@ kuroyume0161 --

Permit me to ask you a question:  will interPoser Pro work with Poser 7?  I don't have C4D: but I've been wondering about interPoser Pro's P7 compatibility anyway.  Inquiring minds want to know...........merely on general principles.

Xenophonz - You are asking for it!!!! ;)

As I state to users who ask - it will definitely work with existing content.  As for changes in Poser 7, I'm clueless.  I'll know when I get my copy, test the features, and see additions to the file format (or new file formats).

I'm gathering my $0.37 stamps. ;P

This is an educated guess, but I would assume it should be at least backwards compatible, or there would be hell to pay with all those people with terabytes of purchased content, python developers, etc etc. And that has been the case with Poser 4->5->6, backward compatibility, right?

I believe it is more the philosophy of certain OS developers to force you to throw your "old" machine out of the window (even if it is 6 months old) buy a brand new computer with their official stickers  each time they do a meaningful upgrade, not e-frontier's from what I have seen. (Unless you already have a boxxtech 8 dual core opteron with 15  hot swappable harddisks, 128 gigas of  ram, but then you probably have the budget to buy an island)

That could be the next official reason: mild learning curve for poser verterans getting up to speed in poser7, and complete backwards compatibility!

But it doesn't look so eye-catching, now that I read it.
