Quote - Is EDW the same as 3dCritter who did the Coalville products? I really dig 3dCritters stuff and this has similarities. Nicely done all the same, and more within my price range than other urban sets. Thanks :)

hehe... no we aren't the same person. Anyway you look at it buildings are buildings... they are going to have some similarites:)
Thanks for the comments
Ed
after reading some of the textures I'm guessing you guys don't like Daz much huh?
"I'm guessing you guys don't like Daz much huh?"
We love daz :)
Seriously it's just an injoke nothing nasty meant and thanks for noticing the extra details we put in. The whole buildings have little bits of graffiti here and there, team members nicknames, events, references to chickens, naughty bunnys, just silly fun stuff like that.
Theres nothing offensive like the F words or anything like that. Anything like that was actively removed from the source material. So it's safe for all ages, theres less bad language in this prioduct than in many poser forums.
It's kinda like the 'easter eggs' programmers write in software. It makes doing the texturing a little more fun. My maps often have things like this in them, trek and film references. Makes the product more enjoyable for the consumer as well.
Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
Gonna post this here as well as daz....
Theres been 100+ sales in less than 2 days and not one single issue has been raised so far with VP.
The real problem here is the humour hasn't worked for some folks. Some of the grafitti is one big in-joke. As explained at roisty. it's references to various bits and pieces and many folks in the community privately chipped in with suggestions.
Theres nothing genuinely nasty/mean/slanderous/libellbous there at all. Apols if anyone thought that was the intention.
Sometimes we don't alway share the same type of humour For example: I don't find the Office or the Royale Family funny at all. Whereas the dark humour in Torchwood makes me laugh. Here the joke has been missed.
However we also listen to our customers and the poser community so we'll be changing this in the next few hours.
I'll also make this offer as well. If you buy this and and you don't like parts of it.
I'll happy to provide you with a custom map with whatever you want on it.

Quote - When is the sale over?! Why doesn't your store show the sale dates - start and end?
I don't mean to sound like a smart-aleck, but what sale are you talking about?
Do you mean the usual 10% discount we give on all our products, all of the time? If so, the answer to your question would be: the "sale" started February 13, 2005 (the date we extended the price to everyone, not just members) and the "sale" never ends. Though, technically, the "sale" started February 13, 2004, when we gave the 10% discount to only Vanishing Point members.

[![](http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/graphics/products/mrsparky_225_roisty_01.jpg)](http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/productdetail.asp?productID=225)Do your Poser people desire an upmarket shopping experience, grabbing a quick cappuccino before visiting a high class Fashion Boutique? Or do they want to explore the dark murky side of Poserville where even the Rottweilers walk around in pairs ?
You can have both with the Urban Environment. To change from ‘light to dark’ you can just simply load and rotate a building, or the entire scene.
The nice side of town provides a typical street scene as found in most cities and towns, complete with street lamps, road signs, sidewalks trash cans, and roads.... even the ATM’s are provided.
The rears of the buildings are distressed with graffiti and an astounding level of modelled detail. Including drain pipes, fire ladders, burglar and fire alarms. Even the electrical wires are modelled and textured.
Building 1:
Features - ATM’s, roof and rear building air conditioning, serving hatches on the café.
Building 2:
Features - Fire ladder, alarms and modelled wires, Trans-mapped security door grid.
Plus a small air-con unit.
Building 3:
Modelled Electrical conduits, alarms, junction boxes and pipe work.
Building 4:
Cabling, alarms, junction boxes, drain pipes and awnings.
Also included is:
-3 texture variations of the 2 dumpsters, pallet and oil drum to dress your scenes.
-Figures for the street exterior (sidewalk/road) featuring streetlamps and litterbins.
-A .PZ3 which loads the entire scene (loads in all versions of Poser from 4 upwards).
-2 Light presets.
-10 Camera presets.
In addition this model also features:
-A low poly interior simulation system to avoid light showing through the buildings.
-Medium polygon models and Highly efficient mapping ensures this product will work on all systems, yet still providing enough detail for close-up scenes. For scenes that do not as much detail, lower resolutions textures are provided.
-A comprehesive user guide in the readme.
