I made this Knight to post with the castle I am making I made the Knight in Truespace Whem I import it into Poser, I use the grouping tool, then parent the hand to the arm, arm to the shoulder etc. After all that I can't get anything to bend like it is supposed to...it wont bend at all The top picture is after I did everything in Poser The bottom two pictures I did manually in truespace Please any help BeOs

Hrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm........... try aligning the parts onto a figure.... then instead of parenting replace body part with prop. do this for each piece save the gloves and helmet make the hands and head invisible in the heirarchy editor.. then save the armour as a character.... that way ye have a conformable suit.. It's a bit time consuming [why the maximillian is far from done] but works... give it a go.. let me know if it starts to get hairy.. Cheers

An alternative method would be to export your model in OBJ format. Use UVMapper to assign the different groups to their correct Poser body part names. Next construct a hierarchy file either by using the example one contained on the Content CD or by using Roy Riggs PHI Builder Bring into Poser using File/Convert Hier File. You will then need to set up the joint parameters.
Hope this helps :)

I would use Wizzards way then export as object(only check the top box on export) and edit the cr2 file that your figure was based on(example p4 male). In the cr2 file just change the geometry pointer to point to your geometry. That way you avoid all other programs and having to tweak the joint paramaters. Ron

One other thing when you slice your geometries make sure they are sliced close to the figure you base it on. Ron

I tried both ways...I didn't understand how to set the joint parameters to well (I am not that good at Poser yet) I tried Wizzards way and sliced the geometries as close as possible. This model does bend now, but I guess I had too many things overlapping (anything in Gold) Would I be able to go back into Truespace and then take anything Gold and make it a prop Then back in Poser do everything again for the suit and then import the Gold things in as 1 prop and save them with the figure? Try the Setup room in the Pro Pack. It's fast and dirty.
