THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce 2 (Yes! Bryce 2) preset needed

Paul Francis ( ) posted Mon, 20 November 2006 at 3:47 PM · edited Mon, 06 January 2025 at 9:11 PM

Comrades,

Many, many moons ago (1997) I had Bryce 2 and Lo! all was good.  Especially a preset material for an infinite plain which looked like a beach with the tide gone out....sort of ripply (?) sand with water puddles.  I need it once again, but I'm bu**ered if I can find it.  Any old Bryce veterans still got it, or know where it can be downloaded from?

My self-build system - Vista 64 on a Kingston 240GB SSD, Asus P5Q Pro MB, Quad 6600 CPU, 8 Gb Geil Black Dragon Ram, CoolerMaster HAF932 full tower chassis, EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti Superclocked 2 Gb, Coolermaster V8 CPU aircooler, Enermax 600W Modular PSU, 240Gb SSD, 2Tb HDD storage, 28" LCD monitor, and more red LEDs than a grown man really needs.....I built it in 2008 and can't afford a new one, yet.....!

My Software - Poser Pro 2012, Photoshop, Bryce 6 and Borderlands......"Catch a  r--i---d-----e-----!"

There's two I can think of right off the bat - Wet Mudbank (left of image) and Sandunes (right). If you can't find them, let me know and I'll post them. HTH; Dan

I don't know about thje original poster, but I would very much like those presets, especially the sandunes one. Where can I find them ?

Thanks

Hi Dan; thanks for replying, mate.  It's the "Wet Mudbank" texture I'm after.

Oops! Sorry, guys! I found my old Bryce 3D CD from 1997; the material is in the "plains and terrains" texture folder.  Load of other perfectly good textures there too which seem to have gradually fallen off as Bryce got updated......
