It is not always this quiet, but perhaps the lack of/slow ebots today are keeping people away. You caught us on a quiet day. Did you post some desert shots not to long ago...3 of them? If so, I remember them well. :) Lovely calla image there, esp. with the prismatic postwork. I don't have any suggestions for you on that. You could follow the link of the left to my profile, but in short, I'm a graphic designer who loves to do photography as a hobby. We have a nice mix of pros and amatuers here and I hope to see you around more Alpha.

Thanks. It is still nice here, though much more crowded, and even more expensive, than when I moved here four years ago. Before that I was in Ft. Lauderdale. Nice too, but in a different way.

Yea, lezz make a noise!!! wawaaaa...kerplunk. Actually, its noisier here than a couple months ago. Sometimes it quiets down for a day then BANG! 10 posts in 1 minute. btw, welcome back You might notice a couple new faces (though a lot have left). We had a where do you live? What's your native language? thread recently. you could do a search for it. P.S. nice calla flower how'd you do the postwork?
Question the question. Answer the question. Question the

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP
Well I am pleased to meet everyone. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but I got a call from a client and had to go out of town to shoot a building. Have to do the boring stuff to pay the bills...
The post work is a combination of a photo of a CD in the sunlight (for the rainbow effect) then a series of blending changes, motion blurs and adding noise through a number of layers at different opacity levels. I just love playing with different effects.
At any rate... I am glad to be back, and hope I can spend time sharing with you all.

As for me... I am a professional photographer. I am currently living in San Diego, California. I have recently finished a long term fine art project in the desert, and I am contemplating what to focus on (no pun intended) next.
The photo posted is a calla lily with some post work. Any comments or suggestions are truly welcome.
Thanks,
Alpha
