Subject: Feedback on posts.

I've been in and out of the city, frantically dashing from one workload to another. It's been very hard to keep being creative, but I've tried and am not giving in to the pressure from everyday life.

I've just made two posts in the 2D forum of two of my paintings, and I've tried to write something with them that work as 'parables', if they may be called that. Since the posts work as both painting as well as writing (there's no forum for the combination of the two), i'd much appreciate any feedback on the development of the idea, and the art as well. You can see the posts at the links given.

I really like both of the themes that inspired your paintings hanevi, as well as the little writings that went along with them. I think they fit the painting well.

Regarding your Restless Waves painting and writing, I think you really captured on a very good thought. Water though, unlike human minds sometimes, has a way of always returning to its original state no matter how much it's been disturbed. In a way, I think it almost wouldn't be too bad to be like water, open enough to be receptive to what you hear but strong enough to regain yourself afterwards.

For your Ocean Deep painting, I immediately recalled listening to whalesong myself, and I think you did a pretty good job of capturing the feeling you get when listening to them. It's a sense of profound nothingness and darkness. But out of that dark where you simply can't see anything, you hear beautiful sounds of life. I like that you depicted that with light on a dark canvas.

Great work!

Thanks David,
that's very encouraging.

Both paintings were quite difficult and I've had trepidation about them.

Thanks again! :)
