Subject: How Do I Track My Physical Shipment of Poser v7 ?
how is it being shipped to you? generally if it is trackable, the vendor will give you a tracking number of some kind, which you'd be able to check on with the shipping company.
The word "processed" does seem to appear in my document under "status"... which then it means what?... not yet shipped?
I guess then I'm waiting for a second e-mail with "status shipped"

Did you pay for 2nd Day Air, og? I only paid for Ground and it shipped yesterday. Of course, it's coming out of San Jose, CA and I live in Phoenix, AZ so it's just gotta go next door.

Mathman, another Aussie here, NSW south coast. A friend ordered hers the day before me, but no email yet saying shipped, only processed- my email confirmation says 31st Oct that I ordered.. Hopefully the order for P7 winging their way to Australia will all arrive on the same plane, or at least you would think that is what they would do for orders outside of the USA to another country like ours, but cannot count on this lol.
Then it has to clear customs, and they let you know from prior orders of Poser, then it is up to the delivery people to get it to you, whoever it may be for where you live.
Hopefully it will be before Xmas, but then I am being optimistic about this what with the Xmas mail/rush at this time of the year from the USA.
Anyway lets keep our fingers crossed that we can play with P7 over the Xmas period her in Aussie land. Jan
There are many orders that have arived without email notification at all. e Frontier are working their way through the notifications, even after most of the boxes have been shiped.
It is a long process from the USA to another country. I know for the uk it has to get to customs then, Royal Mail pick it up along with the VAT charge @ 17.5%.
Then it has to go through the whole shipping process again, only you dont get to choose what service its delivered under. It gets delivered under standard parcel post which at a non busy time of year can take a week to arive. When they do deliver it your get charged on the door for postal charges from the customs to your door with the additional VAT on top. Rip off britan hey.
Now if we are lucky it wont have the corners of the box dented and have a hole in it somwhere.
If its sent too late then thats a very bad thing as it wont get delivered untill Jan 2007 from which the box has been thown from one place to another a thousand times over. ESD software is a good idear but they should drop the price on all software when you dont get nothink physical for your money., it may then make people want the ESD versions more then.

UPS says it should arrive this Friday. :) Unfortunately, it always seemed to take 2 weeks to send anything to my sister-inlaw in Australia and that's not at Christmas time. But you never know. My sister-inlaw lives near Perth, so that even farther away than most other parts of AU.

Hmm you ordered last week and you got your shipping notice? Wonder what they are playing at as I thought they where sending in the order they got ordered? I ordered 16th nov and havent heard nothink so I hope im just one of many that they just havent got to tell that its on its way to me. Hope you receive yours sooner than 2 weeks though.
Copy your tracking number then go to The UPS Tracking page on the net..... http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/track Put your tracking # in the box and select track.It will show you when your box is going to be delievered....I'm getting mine on the 19th.

I do not wish to start any culture war (although if I did I'd drop the name "Gwyneth Palthrow") , but I order things from Singapore all the time, pay relatively low shipping (about $8 for a hard drive, for instance) and get them delivered to my door two or three days later, no customs, no taxes, etc. Same thing when I ship there from California. Singapore has become my corner store for camera, electronics and other items.
With the described multiple taxation and multiple shipping...I'd be curious to know the final total costs and final 'in transit time' for the Black Box delivered to the UK.
May I also ask...in the UK would you have the option with e-Frontier of bypassing the entire sequence by opting for some sort of international service such as FedEx, DHL, etc? or is that option not available?

I sellected USPS Global Express Mail but there where some other options, they where extreemly expensive though. I dont beleave they use any service that would pickup this end and continue the shipping in one price. Some people will ship Item as a present or under value it to avoid duty charges. I did look into all this as I perchased boxed software, the system is rather complex. Tariff classification can be tax can be added to a item as well as the standard 17.5% vat. The Vat is added to the total value including postage.
My poser 7 order started at $156.99 thats with the $10 coupon off, thats £85.38 uk pounds paid from paypal. Id be very shocked if I get this item with no additional shipping charge but, Vat will for certain be added as well as some kind of duty. So added just VAT it comes to £99. Im usng online currency convertion which never works out correct, its always more but that. This means in total iv paid $194 USD for the upgrade.
Of course if you add shipping charges from Royal mail plus handling fees your looking at another £10 -£15 or more maybe less maybe more, it prety much works out im paying the price of the full Poser 7 price in USD. Im comparing all the above based on when I perchased a software boxed product Steinberg Cubase Producer pac. It looked a very attractive price to start with but soon end up costing me way over what I calculated. Dont let me put anyone off, its just my experience, im hoping things wont be as bad this time. Its wasnt a problem just took longer than I hoped and costed much more.
Royal mail did lie to me though which I wasnt happy about. They said they had tryed to deiver it but nobody was in. I was in all day, most of which looking out my window pmsl.

I saw a UPS van delivering a parcel today in the uk.

USPS and UPS are definitly not linked. UPS is a private company that only delivers packages. USPS is the United States Postal Service and since they privatized they SUCK!!! When I send packages anywhere in the world I always use UPS or FedEx.

Maybe they're shipping orders alphabetically by last name? ;-) Seriously though, I'm guessing they will try to ship everything out this week. And sometimes folks either don't get a notice or they get it well after something has shipped. Heck! I've gotten shipping notices the day after an item arrived before. :lol:

My Poser 7 box arrived today!!! Ordered the first day it was announced. Shipped on the 12th. It's a short trip from the middle of California to where I live!

Yeah, same here. I received my shipping notice yesterday. I ordered two weeks ago as well.
