Check in the MarketPlace for those cool High-res eyes. I've had great success with them!

There is a Realeyes prop at Bushi's site, you can use that to get more realistic eyes. I don't bother with props, making realistic eyes on basic models like posette takes a few minutes in postwork in Photoshop. There is a tutorial on Archangel Gabriel's site (linked at right) for postworking eyes. Or download Azura or Eve4 from Morph World, they have 3-piece eyes that produce more realistic reflections. Something simple you may not have tried is setting the pupil material color to white when you apply a texture that has gleam in the eye, leaving it at black obscures the sparkle on the texture. Set Iris to white for best effect too.

momodot is right. He also had a "moist eyes" prop some time ago, that I use all the time. There was also Questors P4eyes (30 Nov. 2000) http://www.shalako.free-online.co.uk/ I don't think the link works anymore, I have the zip file somewhere. You can also parent transparent spheres to the eyes, and reduce the highlight to a very small number like 3 or 4. This makes having painted on highlights on the texture practically unnecessary. (I even had to go back and erase some pretty highlights off some of my textures) I'm totally obsessed with this topic. It is my most important thing.

That link to my site doesn't work and hasn't for a while, Free-Online got themselves bought out and shut my site down when the new ISP took over, I'm rebuilding the site currently so the html is all screwed up, if you want the P4 (posette) eyes from my site the direct link is... http://www.shalako.plus.com/Files/figures/NewP4Eyes.zip This site has been live for a while, I just got bored with the way it looks. :)

Hi, I have made a reflection map set for poser eyes such as the kind Vicki and Michael have or the real eyes prop, any kind that have a spherical outer eyeball material. There are extensive directions for how to set your materials to get the best effects. The maps are all outdoor but I may do an indoor set later if there is interest. I'm attaching a render I did from a map included in the set.
