Subject: Is there a new update for vue 6 i yet?

Lyne ( ) posted Tue, 19 December 2006 at 12:49 AM · edited Wed, 12 February 2025 at 9:45 PM

I have been busy, and have not gotten back into vue 6 at all... and the sluggish moving of a wireframe figure (just ONE IN SCENE) has really put me off using it... so just curious if anyone has heard about this glitch and if there is a new upate yet?  I don't have time to go through all the postings...

thanks,

Lyne

I thought there was a major render bug in that update. That is why I have not down loaded it yet.

Well up to now I've had no issues with it that I know of!!!
I'm about to post an image I've just done with that update in, it used GR and took 3.5 hours on final setting!
I was going to do it at Ultra but the render time was waaaaayyyy too long [lol].

Lyne why not save the link to E-ons Vue update page into your favorites or bookmarks and have it so you can check everyday for a new update.    Thats how I do it and only takes one click to see if there is a new one.
Would take less time than typing a thread to ask if there is one. :)

Well, I don't think it's all that promising Lyne.  Like you, I am kind of 'off Vue' for the moment but I downloaded the last update and tried it.  I was busy working on a nice scene and suddenly - wham, the whole thing just closed and I was out of Vue, staring at my desktop.  And I had not added that many things either.

:(

This is the image I just did with this update, I had no issues with it. This has maybe 4 objects and 4 lights with GR atmo!

Attached Link: Is this a bug?

I was refering to this thread. I don't know if it is a bug or that is how it is suppose to look. No one seems to know the answer.

thefixer ( ) posted Tue, 19 December 2006 at 10:56 AM

Hmm, That thread seems to suggest a metacloud issue which my image didn't use, I'll try something with them in and see what happens!

BE sure and report this to tech support at e-on.   If it is a bug maybe they will fix in next update.

But how do we know if it is a bug? I do think the clouds look better before the update but I don't want to install it until I know for sure.

iloco ( ) posted Tue, 19 December 2006 at 11:30 AM

By posting a tech ticket they can tell you if its a bug in the last update.
I agree the image before the update does look much better. :)

Oh well that does it since I like meta clouds I'm not touching this update!  I just won't bring poser figures in for a while-that's really the only problem I've been having.
