BAR-CODE ( ) posted Mon, 27 November 2006 at 10:21 AM · edited Thu, 08 August 2024 at 6:07 PM

Hi there
Im learning Silo but i think the program is great the Documentation Stinks !
I have a "cube" with one open side  and i want to close the box !
How do you close a opening in SILO ..and does anybodyknwo a real manual for this program
I feel like the programmers only have eye's for senior users ..i can't make head or tails of 90% of the tech-text used in the unsuable "help" file...

I think closing a openig should be very simple ... well
Fill hole,  does noting ... and i just cant find the way to do it :{
Thnx for any advice you might have...

Im trying to do this for 5 hours now ... so i realy how i missed the point..

The program has a Help file that's pretty extensive,but by no means on par with a printed manual but it covers the important basics like:

Description:

      The Fill Hole (Modify > Fill Hole) command can be used to cap or fill a hole in your mesh with a single new polygon. To use it, select exactly one edge along the border of a hole, and run the command.

**Notes:
**

  • This is akin to selecting the vertices around the hole in order and using the Append Polygon From Vertices command.

No problem. Remember, the program tells you what you need to do or what you didn't do at the bottom of the screen.

If you still have trouble send the .sia file to me and I'll have a look, maybe the edges aren't closed...
