Subject: Injection Pose help

Damsel ( ) posted Wed, 20 December 2006 at 12:05 PM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 10:33 AM

I know that Vicky 3 had a figure made by DAZ that you injected into her after doing your morphs with the dials that allowed IPB to load her much more quickly. Does Vicky 4 have a pose like that?

I can't seem to get IPB to parse her even after removing all of the zeroed channel morphs by hand and saving her to a figure library with my morphs. It just chugs away and never gets there. Any ideas on how to make it parse and load? Thanks in advance for any help.

V4 (not the Base) has all morphs included in the cr2 as good old V2 had. So, IPB is not very helpful for this.

How would you go about doing a character injection pose from V4 with both body and head morphs then?

IPB works fine with the V4 full character but you have to make a link library entry for her first.

Start by loading the V4 full cr2 into IPB and let it parse.  Then, click on Create Link and follow the prompts.  It's that simple.  If you don't have a link library entry for her, she'll never parse.

Thanks Victoria, I do have one set up and that's why I am wondering why she won't parse. It's a huge entry over 248,000 lines. Does that sound right after removing all of the zeroed channels? I may be doing something wrong in preparing her.

You don't need to remove anything to link her in IPB.  In fact, all you want to do is load the full V4.cr2 and go from there.  I'm showing 1,115,269 lines in the cr2 so you may have deleted something necessary.

I tried that and it still just chugs away for a long time. How long should it take? I waited 15 min. and then figured it wasn't going to do anything.

When you deleted all the zeroed morphs did you save back to the original .cr2 location and name?  Mine parsed in just under 30 seconds.  If you save in the original place, with the original name it overwrote the cr2.  Also, are you using IPB ver 1.5?  I had the same problem with 1.0 but when the 1.5 update came out it cleared up.  Some other things to consider, are the files in the correct folders?  I know some people have problems if the character is installed to anywhere else but the base P7 Runtime folder.  I don't have that problem, mine is installed to her own external runtime with no issues.

I saved the morphed character in a new folder under my name and with a new name. The original .cr2 is still in the DAZ People folder where it should be. :-) I have version 1.5 also. All are in the folders that they should be and originally installed to. It's a puzzler. I appreciate your taking the time to answer my pleas. I'll keep trying. I felt it was taking too long. :-) I can save the face file and it reads that fine but the problem comes in loading a character for Vicky 4 with head and body morphs both. It seems that's just too much for it to parse. Oh, and I'm using Poser 6. Thanks anyway!! :-)

Good news!! I uninstalled IPB and reinstalled and all worked fine. It must have been a funky install. :-) Thanks so much for taking the time to help!! :-)
