I started this in P6 which took at least 10 min. to load, and FF wouldn't render it.  It just froze like a Deer in the headlights.  No wonder too, there are 50 figures in it and I wanted to add more.  It took just as long in P7 to load but rendered in 4min.  Superb--I've been waiting to finish this, it looks like P7 can handle it now.  Things are looking up!

Under the hood: 3.6g HT Intel chip, 3G ram, SCSI HD & ATI 9800  VidCard.

I guess the problem is mooo-t now :)

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

Thanks for posting this success story Larry!

I am having fine results with render times, as well. 

NOTE: with better management, you can try raising the 'bucket' I have mine permanently set on 256 now, and no errors so far. Raising the bucket tells Poser to attempt to render bigger chunks at a time. This results in better overall render times.

Now I'm off to have a full-fat latte with whipped cream. Someone's gotta support all those cows!

And the answer is: All over the Poser screen! :D

I'm not impressed! After 2 days of loading content, Poser 7 can't find half the textures, nor can I import files from into Carrara! Who cares how fast it renders if I nothing to render . I'm almost ready to go back to 2d!

You can hoof on over to: http://vistainternetproducts.com/index.htm,  the link to Vista Products.  I think they are one of the only web sites that  don't offer downloads.  Snail-mail for CDs.  Lots of animals there.
