Subject: Angel's Prayer

Another picture using the 'prayer' image of my better half - I did the actual cloud & halo effect a couple of weeks ago, but felt it wasn't complete. While out yesterday I wanted a shot of some coal staithes from the opposite river bank, but they've started a regeneration project there and got it all fenced off. Luckily it was low tide, so I dropped down onto the rocks to get past the fence and nearly landed on a bit of driftwood about 1 foot long that looked like a bird's wing - a quick photograph at home and playing about with the levels and saturation got the colour match, and Robert's Yer Mother's Brother. Ironically I learned the hard way with this picture - when I saved the original 'prayer' image used here as the background I didn't save the Photoshop file so lost all my layers....damn!

Syyd, this is unnerving - you replied to this faster than I realised I hadn't put the picture on and added it!!! LOL Thanks once more - I'm gonna try to talk her into some other poses - I've got a couple of ideas that fit in with the wing shape.

Having wings would be so cool...of course, in order to use them the shape of our body would have to be completely altered, as we're not very aerodynamic but...anyway that was a distraction! Really neat idea, mj!

Uh why is the angels wings burning? Nice merge of pictures. Bsteph

Thanks for your comments everyone. This picture actually looks so much better printed on glossy paper than it does on screen - which is unusual for my pictures! I never really thought of them as burning, bsteph, but now that you mention it..... hmmm. Maybe I should have added a blur to the rest of the picture? She is a bit sharp compared to the wings..... Thanks. Made me look at it a different way!

Oh, when I look at it that way it looks SO cool! Imagine having wings of fire......heh wow! :-)
