Subject: Poser 7/Transposer

Has anyone had any trouble with importing Poser 7 files into Carrara with Transposer? I made sure to reset from P6 to P7, but either I get an unknown error message, or nothing happens at all.

This is a known issue. The work around is to copy the Poser 7 Runtime into Poser 6 and then use Transposer 2 and import the file "through" P6. This will not work for layered animation objects. (no surprise) Other applications that import Poser like Vue are also having this problem and use the same work-around. My understanding is that e-frontier has not released the SDK for P7 yet so the Carrara developers do not have the raw material to make a fix yet. :-/ Mark

Thanks, TM, for asking, and Mark, for answering. :-) I know I'll always find an answer on these boards. (Though I'll wait for the fix!)
