I'm looking for information on what program is needed to start making conforming clothes in & any other help, tips etc... I have searched for tuts, but find nothing or they are dead links. Thank you very much, Tamelaj

Check out nerd3d.com for conforming clothing tutorials. As far as what programs you need, basically any modelling program that you can export your mesh as obj or some format you can convert to obj. You may also want to get your hands on the following free utilities: Compose, UVMapper, CR2Editor and PHI Factory.

Thank you very much JKeller. I have CR2Edit but not the other's which I will get right now. I don't have a clue as which program would be best to export as a obj. I thought 3dmax studio, but want to make sure before I purchase it. Thank you again, Tamelaj

Where are the mentioned utilities available? I took a quick look through free stuff here but didn't see them. Maybe I was looking for the wrong items.

Compose: Renderosity Freestuff under utilities
UVMapper: http://www.uvmapper.com
CR2Editor: Files section at PoserTECH yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PoserTECH)
PHI Factory: http://www.bushi3d.com

And, if you're on a MAC, you better stop by http://www.soft-rabbit.com/

Hope this helps.

I use Max for my modeling, and I'm happy with it. One piece of advice though, my first clothing was a skirt model, and it's taken me a horribly long time to get it close to done. Try catsuits, slacks, and jacket/shirts first! Good luck!
