i have been trying to create room scenes for a while now but have had trouble creating upholsterd furniture, particularly the cushions of the furiture,  does anybody have any tips for doing this or would anybody like to start writing a tutorial?  please

What kind of cushions?  I just threw this together.  If I gave it a bit more time and effort I could get it looking better, but I think this method for creases works pretty well, if that's what you're looking for.  I don't have time to write a tutorial, but I can post the file and some wireframes if you'd like.

I'd say it's all in the UV mapping and selecting good textures.
