Has anyone used the Talk Designer in Poser 7? If so where do you find the .wav text files it keeps asking for? Cheers

It's like Mimic ... you have to supply those yourself.

"wav" is one format of audio that has been (recorded and) digitized to create computer compatible files. There are many flavors of sampling rates and bit depths as well as stereo and mono. For most lipSyncing uses, you can get by with 8kHz, 16-bit, mono files. Do not use 8-bit, ever, no way, no how!

You will need a program to record into and a microphone as well to create these files. I have included a link just to get you started, but I have no experience with this particular program, it was just the first free one that came up. I use very expensive, professional software that would be serious overkill for what you are asking about.

The text files are phonetically written versions of the audio file used to help the Talk Designer with its visemes. For example, there is a difference in timing (called a glottal stop) between "A nail" and An ale."

Many ,Many ,Many ,Thanks.
I think this will get me started. This is all new to me.
Is there any special microphone and software I may also need?
I once saw while surfing the net a program that you can type what you want to say and it translates into .wav voice. You can select male or female voice and various languages.Do you know any of these that are not too expensive and would they also work with Talk Designer?
Cheers
