Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

Attached Link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/?ok

If you want to, click the link, then navigate via "News Watch/Listen to BBC nNews", scroll down (after the intro screen finally decides to download) hit "World" and then  "Parents keep girl child-sized".

After about 47 seconds into the video, there's a graphic showing which parts of the girl have been affected... using Posette as the background on which to add extra graphics...

1st time I've ever seen Posette on the Beeb...

Repeat of warning. The clip is about some parents who have a mentally-challenged little girl, and what they've decided to do to help either her or themselves (make your own decision). It is not for the faint of heart, nor for viewing by kiddies.

But it IS for viewing for Poserites who like to keep track of this sort of thing...

:-)

Cheers,
Diolma

(BTW - be quick, it'll probably be gone in a few hours)

Though I am now using Poser 7, I still use Posette for ALL of my projects!!

It is faster to render, it does not chew up memory and best of all extremely pretty!!

I am yet to see a female figure come close to her!! :c)))))

Cheers

@ vxg139:

I wasn't posting the above for any comparisons regarding any of the Poser figures, just as an example of a poser figure being used in a fairly world-wide media...

But thanks for your input anyway :-)

(Sheesh - it's way past my bedtime..)

Cheers,
Diolma

posette and the bloke from then too have been on the news a lot and in the newspapers for illustrating news events, medical proceedures, crime scenes, infultrating terrorist cells,  i've even seen possette in a fitness book, but i can't imagine many people want their shoulders to look like that after a few press-ups.

Did you mean something like this?!?!

... or maybe like this one?!?!

Posette will always be no. 1.... The originals are always the best and the rest.. well just a spin off!!

Cheers

Great Renders vxg139.

I work in TV and I've used Don in an animation for a show.  It's really a blink and miss it bit (he's on for nearly 4 seconds!)

A number of years back I used two characters for an openning animation for a low budget flick.  It was what got me into Poser.  I needed this little animation and the studio I worked at had P4.

Anyway, it is nifty to see.  In news and documentary circles Poser doesn't have the negative connotations that seem to float around elsewhere.  It is viewed as an accessible, low cost tool.  Still, not enough in the industry know or understand it.

Posette is my all time favorite too

  1. Most important, the poly count. She is (thank you) NOT a zillion-billion point figure.
  2. Easy to morph
  3. Easy to texture
  4. Decent bending
  5. Managable
  6. Lots of free stuff
  7. Good looking

She is not perfect. But due to the low poly count, she is easy to correct.

I would love a low resolution version of the new figures.
Around 20.000 is the absolute maximum.

Posette is still one of the best around the block.

I still like and use posette, too.  The poly count is a big plus.
