See how the Oom points his finger at me?  Mischievous Omie that one lemme tell you!  😉

Then just some shots of the lodge.  You see why the Oom likes it so much to spend time there?  Cause there's a fully equipped bar of course!

And the patio outside.  It was pretty awesome!  Except, we couldn't sit outside cause the wind was blowing so hard and the sun was coming down so hard on us, that it was just impossible to sit outside!

I think late afternoon would be the best time to spend time where.  The patio overlooks a waterhole - if you look closely I think you'll see it.  And I think there would be a lot of game there late afternoon / early evening.  That's mos the time of the day that they come seeking refuge at the waterhole.

And the diningroom, which I think looked absolutely divine!  You see that round white table?  Now that's where the Rendo buddies had their lunch

I think, if I remember correctly and if I'm not mistaken, Oom Piet took a few captures of us munching away during lunch.  Oom Piet, do you want to show the rest of RR how we pigged out during lunch?  :b_tonguewink:

@ Zeldie:  "...the two tormentors...** " and "mischievous Omie" and  you "accidentally" display a photo of me and Harry? This calls for some explanation.

Great stuff Zeldie, thanks for the contribution, I will delve into my archive in 2 hours and upload some - promise!

The "stories" here produced aimed at certain persons make me regret that we did not take you ladies to the mud baths and capture our own "smear campaign". :tongue1:

Hi Sue! next time there will be real big problems for you if you can't make it to our get togethers. I really need a "responsible grown up" on my side.  :sneaky: ...and you still have to go through the mampoer ceremony, just ask Spooky-Wan evil grin

This is Esté ([st_fish](http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?Who=st_fish)) and her hubby Vernon ([onefish](http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?Who=onefish)) getting ready for lunch. Does the washing of hands remind of innocence like Zeldie would have you believe when she talks about "responsible grown ups"? I am just asking... 😕

Kidding! According to Tswana (a black African tribe) customs, the host's daughter would bring a bowl of scented water and allow the guests to rinse their hands while she slowly pours the water over. By the way, a bathroom was only recently invented you know, lol! Eating then becomes a pleasant affair with the fragrance lingering while indulging in the food.

After spending a considerable time in the bush photographing the lions, being exposed to high temperatures and a scorching sun, this was a welcome gesture - I hope.

To our overseas visitors who drop by: Don't you feel tempted to phone the travel agent...

Piet , that custom of a tribe was intersting. In the Elizabetian era  was a simmilar custom in a high court " lunch table ".
On my lotto money what I will win one day...LOL,  I go around a world, one of the place is on a list is  Land of the lions. In this cheerfull funny tread you guys jut put this reserve on map...and I am realy glad for that!

Sir Piet, there will be big problems if I don't come next time..... I closed down my business so I have all my weekends free now.. Yipee on one hand but sad on the other.
lol.

Re Mampoer... One will knock me down flat as I only drink very rarely! So you guys will be very amused if you catch me u i !

Plus I get incredlibly flirtatious which is bad in the company of married couples even if it is innocent flirting....

I love to learn about different traditions. They seem to inspire me to write.

Hugs all!

Aha, we were together.  Our overseas friends are more than welcome, do you consider joining on such a photographic expedition? We learn a lot too, despite all the mischief and fun.

That new cam of yours is begging to taste the African sun! I use only a 17-85mm, I can also not afford a better one yet. I just wait to get up close for my captures. Good luck, I hope you get you 200mm soon.
