Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 15 2:13 am)
Hi,
It can be done but there is a "liltle" preparation involved.
Zbrush don't like the standard uv mapping of poser figures,
this is not a problem for morphing or smoothing but it is for displacement creation.
You have to adjust the uv's , that can be done in different way's.
You have to remove all overlapping and inverted uv's and next you have to make a choice of
putting the uv's in multiple uv tiles or fitting all the uv's in one uv space.
I use this "method" with 3dsmax and this works ok , so it should also works for vue.

This is rather a multi workflow kind of question. Here is the jist:
Id like to pose a figure in Poser
Import it into Zbrush. Modify the figure (adding more polys, smoothing etc) MAKING a displacement map.
In VUE, import the original unaltered textured figure. Use the displacement map form ZBRUSH in Vue.
CAN THIS BE DONE? IF SO, HOW?
I've looked all over the net and the only tutorial I can find is using zbrush to make morph targets.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best
