Okay, I may have already answered my own question, but can either Ray dream 5.0 or 5.5 run on a G4 with 9.1 system?

I would thik so, Carrara runs O.K. on 9.1. I have Ray Dream 5.5 running on 8.6

I've seen posts from several people that have both/either running on a G4. There are insatall problems with RDS & you need to update the app Before launching it for the first time under OS 9...

I have a G4 running OS 9.0.4, and Ray Dream Studio 5.0.4. I have found the only major problem is launching/running RDS while launching/running another RAM hog, like Photoshop. Otherwise, i find it to be very stable. But yes, you should at least upgrade to 5.0.4. I have found any version below this to be unstable, whether on a G4 or other. At home i have a Supermac S900 running 8.6, and RDS 5.0.4 is stable but 5.0.2 is not. Good luck!!

Where can I get the update now theat meta nolonger deals with Ray Dream 5.0?

I recently had to reinstall 5.5 to get its shaders to use in Carrara. Mac g4 sys9.04. There is an udate that must be run prior to opening 5.5. I have it somewhere on my home computer if any one needs it.
