In relation to trees, is anything in the zip of help? You will note that I not only started with different tree sizes but also fiddled with the shading of the leaves in tree 2.(Well image in place of zip)
Adding all the potential parameters as well in the replicator should addd up to a very varied tree landscape. Could have added say people into the mix! Now THAT I am going to work on.

I know my replies to your trees replication questions were pretty useless. I can't imagine the abilty to do as you really asked--hope someone comes up with an answer.
I relation to glow thing. If the butt parts of the insect had a separate shader you could give a pecentage glow to that. (and it woks ok with duplication or replication) And you can add glare or aura.
No lights as such!
Not the answer. A solution?

Yes, sometimes the best answers are given as solutions. Some questions don't have answers, since the questions are often flawed to begin with. Your solution sounds great. I try to remind myself - don't always ask, tell people What I am trying to do, and then they can help, and aren't limited to my uneducated questions. Thanks. Don't you love the replicator? by the way, do you use Vue? I am finding (aside from not being able to adjust the trees) the replicator is full of uses. MarkB. posted a fur solution using a texture map and simple slice to add fur to a pawn...wow! I wish someone would come up with an extension to allow animated figures - say from Poser, to run ON a surface, like is possible in Vue - just for that reason, I'm thinking about Vue. Even though I would rarely have a need for that effect - I just think it is so cool. I'll try the glow thing.

Hey, I don't know if you know this, but you can place objects on the surface of - say a mountain, and then hide the mountain. That is what I did with the dragonflies. I duplicated the terrain and added the dragons, then hid the dup. terrain. The dragonflies hover just above the ground, but won't pass through it. Oh, and move the terrain up.

Ominousplay, thanks for showing the results. It's nice when my lateral thinkings work for someone.
I don't have Vue--too much still to learn in Carrara yet. I need to spend a lot of time in the Shader room. The potentials for all the Enhance C plugin stuff intrigues me. A LOT of learning to take place.
I like the Replicator but also still have installed the original Inagoni version. It does a few things better than the new Carrara one I feel.

I was able to replicate lights, but not the post rendered "glow" on each light. I wanted to have the dragonflies have glowing butts, but only one glowed - the rest had lights but no glow, so this render has no lights on the dragonflies. Any idea if it's possible to replicated the "glow" ? It is same as "star" - what about "anything glows" - can I replicate that? Has anyone come up with a way to replicate trees with variations in the trees without having to add multiple "models" into the repliation list? And not just rotation and size? But actual variations in the shape - bend, branch, etc.? Thank you, RSNever Give Up!
