Although I am a registered user within Renderosity (great site by the way :thumbupboth:), I don't have a gallery set up so was wondering whether or not I would be allowed to submit a photograph to this month's contest?
I am a budding amateur photographer, "playing" around with my new Kodak Z740 that I got last year, so don't expect any miracles..... but I am keen to learn how to get the most out of my camera and will be using some of the tips found around this site in future.
Also, what does it mean by "postwork"? :blushing:
Is that the technical term for photo editing with packages like Adobe Photoshop?
I'd love to take part in this and possible future contests - just for the experience and drive to find that "perfect" shot so would appreciate it if you could let me know if I need to purchase a gallery or not first.
Many thanks

Hi Chrissy...
There is no need to purchase anything...You can have a gallery here for free...Just start uploading images..
Postwork..yes that means using programs like photshop..Paintship Pro etc etc..
The idea is to keep your work after the camera to a minimum...it doesn't mean you shouldn't do any...

Thanks Pushinfaders - I didn't realise that you could upload photos and stuff for free - that's great!
I'd love to get some feedback on some of the photos I took last year so I might start getting some of them on in the next couple of days.
I have to say though, there are some pretty darn good photographers around here (you're no exception!!) but I think I can learn a lot from you guys.
Thanks again for your response.

Am I missing something?
I can't see where you are supposed to vote for the genre challenge!??
I thought this closed on Wednesday night and was open to voting from yesterday until Sunday - have I mis-understood the voting system - is it just the moderators that vote and not an open vote?
Sorry for being a little slow on the uptake! :tongue1:

It will be interesting to see Historical things from around the globe..
