between a book store and a pastry shop is a small doorway to second floor flats. I liked the brick wall with the postal boxes tucked away in this little niche.

In the basement of the state capitol you find this wall of message boxes rented by interested parties where daily files and records regarding pending legislation, hearings and public meetings sit waiting to be picked up.

Wow, these are mighty impressive walls! I will post a real wall before long.

This is a wall, very real but not seen.  Other signs of unseen walls are in the area and the message is much more stern..at those I dare not carry a camera.

Taken at Fort York in Toronto.

Walls of a cabin, replicated from 1740, American "west" which was the west part of the state of Virginia, USA.   Threre are cabins as old as the date not many miles from here, perserved for history.   Lots of mud slinging to get the chinks wind proof!

I present a series of walls...so very different in meaning depending on you point of view...on this side or that side of the walls.

Brusy Mountain Prison was the first prison in the state of Tennessee, USA. Convicts had been used for coal mining, costing the local miners. The miners revolt led to the establishmen of a prison system. This facility is deep in the hills, surrounded on 3 sides by difficult and steep terrain.

James Earl Ray, convicted assassin of Martin Luther King, Jr. met his fate here. Dying of liver failure in 1998, Mr. Ray had recanted his confession to the murder soon after being incarcerated.

I was behind these wall a few times years ago. Then, my reason was not crime. Today, the worst offenders are in Brushy.  I could not and would not go in now.
