Dear all,

I'm currently working on the staging for the Scissor Sisters' opening at the Brit Awards this year and want to do an animatic using Poser and C4D. Love to get costumes close to the kind of stuff the guys wear but have been unable to find anything. Can anyone out there point me in some right directions?

Many thanks,

Mak

Links to pictures of what your looking for would be of assistance.

Sorry nruddock, I assume everyone knows the kind of stuff they wear and, of course, they don't. See attached link.

Pitklad: Do you know of any?

I've never heard of them, however, most of what I saw on the site you posted doesn't give much in the way of full figure views of costumes.

(I don't have an audio card in the computer, so I couldn't hear the music .... but the videos I saw were not very costume oriented.)

Are there any stills of the band in costume??

Could be worse, could be raining.

Well I guess that even regular clothes with a vinil or glittered shader (which poser version you have?) will look quite glam-disco-cabaret style...
here is a YouTube video of  I Don't Feel Like Dancing (I love that song!)

As for catsuits...every character has one and making a bell-bottomed morphs would be easy with a magnet...

I've already got my tickets for their concert here in St. Louis on March 12th! Woo Hoo!

So, who are these guys??  Is there anyone I might have heard of that you could compare them to, so I'd know if I might like them??

Could be worse, could be raining.

I guess their biggest hit is Comfortably Numb...
I like them they are fresh

Thanks guys, will go for all suggestions.

They are an American band who are huge in Europe and Japan but not so big in the US. It's 'Don't Fell Like Dancin' that we're doing, which opens the Brits Music Awards to a 6,000 live audience and several millions of viewers. We opened the Awards 2 years ago, which was hugely successful. This one's a lot more challenging.

For more images, simply type 'Scissor Sisters' into Google and look at the Image section... or click here.

Thanks,

Mak

OK ... so I listened to a few songs on iTunes.  They sound like the BeeGees to me, at least in that Don't Wanna Dance piece.

Scissor Sisters rock my socks!

Yes, the catsuits would probably work best, with some morphing around the ankles and maybe transmapping on the upper part to give the right shape, or textured to give the appearance that it's a separate jacket over a shirt.

And for the female.... I guess with some morphing and textures the morphing cocktail dress for V3 will be an option??

On the other hand... if you're not bound to use V3 etc, the Girl is an option. She does have a clothing set which could be used. I have attached a link to the texture set.

Here's some suggestions, a lot of mix a matching involved though and retexturing for sequins , stripes etc: -G2 Casual Suit at Rdna : good jacket and loose fit trs. "Smart Elegance" texture set for it has a narrow stripe option for the suit. Tee shirt stripe and colour options too. -The 'V3Classy Mini Dress " also there could be retextured for a sequin look -the David Clothing Bundle at Daz has a regular shirt and narrower trs. There is the JeanZ packs at Daz for just that. Daz is good for various boots and shoes too. I think at Rdna there is a good hats pack with a cap Arduino's Bad Cowboy has a nice waistcoat.......... -'Open Shirts" for M3 by aoaio in the marketplace here could work.... -"Sade" by Uzilite at Daz ...tight trs, good longer jacket and a waistcoat too. Check out other Uzilite stuff too. HIgh waisted trs. might have to be a catsuit with a transmap..... havent seen any like that I can think of. Braces could also be so via texture map. Good luck, sounds like a fun project. I love their music. Got "Laura" going round and round in my head at this very mo

Thanks pitklad, although I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to show you the final animatic, but if Polydor let me, I will.
