I have a strange behavor in vue 6: I try to create a cave creating a boolean difference with two terrains, one a bit smaller then the other. When I place the camera so that the view is from inside the cave to outside, there allways appears at least one line when rendering the scene (see the capture above). The same phenomen I have with boolean difference using primitives, there's allways a line when looking outside. I reproduced the same behavor on my PC as well as on the Notebook, so I guess it's not a graphic card issue... Can anyone confirm this?

Interesting method. But boolean operations are always tricky and often there are artefacts. Not only in Vue, it is an experience I made in the last 20 years of 3D design.

So I would say it has to do with some strange polygons clashing onto each other here. Maybe you try to shift one of the terrains or change the shape a little and try it again. Or use something simpler to cut out the cave - some primitives maybe.

Hi Wabe

Thanks for your reply. I allready tryed to create the cave by choosing a cylinder instead of a second terrain, the result was the same, I always get these horizontal line(s). Also playing around with the camera position or with the position of the two object would only change the appearence of the lines, but theyr'e still here.

I used to create caves the same way under vue 5, without any problems. For me it seems to be a new bug under vue 6. It's a pity...

It would be interesting if someone could reproduce the same effect.
