Jason, that is awesome and very humbling, to see that you can do graphics even with this condition. Wow.
I'll take a stab at it with Dogwaffle. Email me the fullsize image? (I assume the one you posted here is not the original size, or is it?)
The dark strip by-the-way is the shadow from the animal's left ear. You could - if available - render with soft shadows and reduced shadow intensity, that might help. What program did you use for this render?

Actually it's not a shadow. It's a tear in the texture.
IM me your e-mail address and I'll e-mail you the full-sized head/neck section. It's about a meg.
Thanks,
Jason
Jeez! And I thought I had medical problems.... Hats off to you, Jason. You must have patience of Jobe to work like that, and your work is far better than some of the stuff I've sen around here. Congratulations on that!
I can see the trouble you are having, but where did you get the Giraffe? If you bought it, I'd send it back. No way should it have a tear in the mesh....

I believe the mark that was removed was a shadows... but then I could be wrong....
yes it is the shadow of the ear. I was able to still see the skin's pattern in it, albeit very dark. If you have too much contrast or poor gamma setting on your screen it might appear all black but it is not black. The skin pattern is in there, consistent and where it should be. I don't think there's a defect in the texture.
Jasoni like the image. Mate i am totally gob smacked after looking at the picture of you and how you do your artwork. here i am unable to use one arm/hand and getting frustrated, gee i can't imagine what you go through.
Also mate hope you don't mind but i showed your picture to some people on a game site that do nothing but constantly whinge/complain about not being able to do things cause they suffer with minor pains...it stopped their complaining very quickly
My wife Ehlana(on here) said to say hello and she can't wait to see the image when you have finished it..
Take care bud

I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

No, I'm glad you showed them the picture.
G'day back to Ehlana.

Would someone be willing to have me e-mail them a full size version of the head/neck section of my image and paint over the black strip? I also have two other images that need nostril glare fixed.
Thanks in advance.
