Subject: Victoria 4 / Poser/ texturing

Hi.  I bought the Victoria 4 Pro bundle and would like to create my own skin textures that will work with Poser 7.  I have photoshop elements.  Does anybody know how I would go about doing this?  I am still very new to poser, despite having Poser 6 for over a year (computer was not really fast enough to run it properly).

Thanks for the help.

David

Lots of people will give you great tips and links so I'll just say that before you even think of doing textures, you should sign up to this site first:

http://3d.sk/

That's the single best place on the net to get very high rez photos of skin of various ages, races, gender, body type and so on. They also have refs of hair, clothes, poses and various props that you can use for creating content.

Hi thanks for the info about the 3d.sk site. What I really want to know about is there some Victoria 4 blank template, and can import into Photoshop to edit. And if so how to I get it back onto Victoria 4 in poser? Thanks. David

You can paint them by hand too.

you can find the templates down at the bottom of the V4 Base page http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/shop/itemdetails/-/?item=4783&cat=350 as far as applying it here is an old tutorial I did covering the steps applying textures to a figure, it should give you a start. http://poserpros.daz3d.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6969

not sure if they are different or an improved version or something but snowsultan recently uploaded a link to his seam guides so that would either be a page or two into the poser forum(where we are now) or available in the freebie section just search "seam guides"

and i agree with the http://3d.sk recommendation as it is full of useful stuff and only $99 for 1 year membership.
