i noticed that the blender3d forum does not have a forum moderator, maybe with the arival of blender 2.43 and a new wave of blender learners, it would be a good idea to appoint one.

also, whatever happened to picking a banner for the blender gallery/forum/whatever.  the blender gallery's image never seems to work and currently even with its popularity, there is such a bland welcoming to our gallery.  

any suggestions/ideas to making it more interesting/getting a moderator?

Well, we had a forum moderator, but she hasn't been online in a long time so you just have me now :(  I swear the gallery image was fixed at some point, and the link back to the forum too, but it seems to be broken still.

Unfortunately I'm only a lowly coordinator and can't change the headers myself, so I'll have to bug someone to do that for me.  Probably I could have them add a banner at the same time.

Yeah, I should do something about the banner...I guess I could revive that thread and give a week for people to make any changes/additions and then open up a voting thread?  Unless you guys want one of those nifty rotating banners like some of the forums have, in which case we could use all of them.

lets not get too fancy now.  btw, this time we have a thread, we should make it so that nobody's website's banner can be a submission,  the submissions should be original and for the purpose.

I reckon go with the rotating banners idea, I'm sure Agentsmith would let us plagiarise the code from the bryce forum.
