Subject: Good Poser book?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a book about Poser but I'm not sure which one is really worth it. I'm an intermediate Poser/3D user. That means I can get a character set up in Poser and make it look decent on a render. I'm also good with textures but what I want to do is go deeper and create my own 3D models (hair, clothings...) and get them into Poser (I got some Maya & Modo experience). And I'm interested in using Poser to render high quality but not too realistic character avatar images for a role-playing game. the characters should not look like Poser and indeed the best would be if they don't even look like 3D but like drawings. I know thats do-able but I need to learn how to give them their own style (i.e. with lighting, materials, rendering etc.)

I've checked three books on Amazon...
**Secrets of Poser Experts: Tips, Techniques, and Insights for Users of All Abilities: The e-frontier Official Guide
http://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Poser-Experts-Techniques-e-frontier/
dp/1598632639/sr=8-4/qid=1169824901/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4/002-1662165-0059262?ie=UTF8&s=books

****Practical Poser 7 (or 6)
http://www.amazon.com/Practical-Poser-Graphics-Denise-Tyler/dp/
1584504781/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b/002-1662165-0059262

****Poser 7 Revealed: The efrontier Official Guide
http://www.amazon.com/Poser-Revealed-efrontier-Official-Guide/dp/
1598632965/sr=8-6/qid=1169824901/ref=pd_bbs_sr_6/002-1662165-0059262?ie=UTF8&s=books

** ... can somebody give me a hint which book is really a good choice? There's not really any deeper insight into these books and the customer reviews sound nice but their are a bit unreliable as they often just reflect the opinion of one person.

Thanks for any advice!**

I have all four and Practical Poser 7 is best out of all. I have Practical Poser 6 as well but you may want to grab 7 since it covers bones better than 6.

Thanks Marque! I will probably go for that one. Secrets of Poser Experts also doesn't seem to be a bad choice. **Poser 7 Revealed looks more like it is a beginners guide.
