Ensure that the Apollo figure is using the geometry file ApolloMaximus2005.obj
Also be sure that Apollo is the selected figure in the scene when converting.
Although provision is made to cater for there being more that one figure/clothing item in the scene it is always best to have just the figure and one item of clothing present. There will be less margin for error.

Funny, I tried to convert a G2 T-Shirt to use with Apollo (already finished the base figure + mats, turning out awesome), did everything as told in the HTML, and it's gasp NOT supported?

It worked with M3. Now there was Apollo's figure files in the WW data directory, but what exactly is going on?
