THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce made things? List?

FranOnTheEdge ( ) posted Sun, 28 January 2007 at 5:21 AM · edited Mon, 13 January 2025 at 3:42 PM

Is there a list of things made entirely in Bryce?

Like I know there was someone who made the most incredible things, robots and machines - using just Bryce.  Used terrains I think.

I can't find anything, not even sure how to search.

Interesting term for search.....as far as the forum goes look for the term "pure" or "pure bryce".

I've tried that, it still brings up stuff for 3ds max etc, which just doesn't sound very "made-in-Bryce" to me.

what is it with that mans name..no wonder i'm scared to open bryce now..

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

I did a house once in Bryce, and a weathervane and bench.  Not as great as humorix's work, but I was quite proud of it.

That whole scene was pure Bryce.  The flower garden and the dormer roof sections were terrains, and you can't see the bench (which is on the porch), but the sides of that were terrains too.

Everything else was primitives.

I didn't get a lot of comments on the piece, maybe 7 or 8, but at least one person thought it was a great modeling job, so I felt good about it.

It had about a zillion cubes ... and keeping track of them all was interesting.  I could have used some additional families.

Bambam does have a Space Station up at DAZ, not free, but would give you an idea of how he works.

Rochr does some amazing stuff in Bryce (mostly Bryce) as does Orbital. I've done a few things myself as well. And then there's HangTime's Bar Scene that was in the Bryce 2 Real World book.

Can't say i ever seen a site that is "Pure Bryce" models etc but all the models i build have been created in either Bryce 4 or 5. in fact FRAN you recently downloaded the VINCENT model that was created purely in Bryce glad you like it.

Burpee ( ) posted Thu, 01 February 2007 at 8:07 AM

This Bryce modelling is simply amazing.  I never cease to wonder at the hours it must take him to create the models that he does.  Definitely worth a look:

One more of my 'all Bryce' favorite artists.  This guy is amazing and makes almost everything in the scene himself.   Check out Bob Meski's art:

Wow, 96,000 objects in one piece and he's not finished yet.  That is amazing.

Oh I do, I like it a lot.  I mean to do more work on my dinky little robot, but just haven't had time recently as I've been working on streets and street furniture for a project.

I looked a Helix's stuff - complex indeed.  Found pics of pidjy's stuff including the large walking robot he did all in Bryce - great stuff.

It's just interesting to see what can be done in modelling in Bryce.

I modeled a comfy chair in Bryce - everything in The Study is pure Bryce:

The Study

for a while I'd made that cabinet availalbe.  it was carefully grouped and articulated to allow drawer and door openings.

fairly recently, I made a mini-maglight which is available for download.
