Subject: background pic not showing in preview

can someone tell me what's wrong with this preview, the background won't show it's kinda there if you peek hard enough. man what the heck am i doing wrong.

is your photo in jpeg? and you import the background photo right? is the photo the same size as the main room?

I had that problem too, but only in the Poser 4 render engine, not FF and my background was a .bmp.  I had the options checked in the render options screen.  I haven't solved it yet.

change the BMP to a Jpeg see if that works!

My imported backgrounds often go AWOL.
I can see them regardless of size when I first import them, but when I minimise Poser and come back they've dissapeared. (still there but just not showing in the preview window)
Renders fine though. I only use .jpg's.I generally just clear the background and re-import. Just an anoying bug.

I'm still newbieish to Poser, but... Since your James is all white, I'm guessing you have your preview settings on smooth shaded... if you switch to texture shaded, he'll be in color and you'll see the backgroung jpeg, too.

after a little bit of time i have just resized (click & drag) the preview window and hey presto theres the image. thanx to all for help. mark
