no matter how much life may suck ... there should always be time for 3D.  As you all know, I have been taking some time off from Brycing to learn how to model and texture map clothing for Poser characters.

I started out with Rhino, but that turned out to be not too good for modeling clothing.  So, I picked up Hexagon and BINGO .... suddently clothing is easy.  I did a conforming bodysuit for the mouse and a smart propped skirt (mapped in Stewart Hunt).

So, at least I've got a smile on my face .....

That plaid is awesome! Brings back childhood memories. I hope your rw probs straighten out soon. You're doing great with the clothing.

That looks great! I found Rhino a bit annoying. So, I guess Hexagon must be the way to go.

Oh, gee .... there was a post somewhere on the forum that took me to a site that had TONS of tartan materials.

Give me a second and I'll find it.

Cardinal Bryster, your emminence,

I protest.  It is not truly heresy, because one cannot make mice and mouse clothing with the Blessed Bryce (a thousand blessings be upon it).

I know, I tried.

And, I am still doing a lot of my modeling and ALL of my rendering in the Blessed Bryce (a thousand blessings be upon it).

:)

And, thank you.

Pakled, had I known you were looking for a specific tartan, I could have got the answer for you in about 10 seconds.

The site you want is the Scottish Tartan Database .... "Tartans of Scotland".  They list seven there for Logan, two of which are for Logan-McLennan.

They are attached.

The link is ..... http://www.tartans.scotland.net/find_tartan.cfm

Of course, the more I look at them, the more they look like the same tartan, just at difference zooms.

So, maybe there is only one tartan for that particular clan.

could be...thanks for checking. I once found the actual tartan material in a Scottish shop in the Bahamas (of all places), even back in the 80s, it was $22/yard..ouch..;) thanks again.

Oh, sir I DID use the Blessed Poser.  The cloth room actually, your emminence.

There are no clothing items for the poor Mouse, sir.  And even the Blessed Bryce (a thousand blessings be upon it)  renders kindly on the poor Mouse.

Colt's fan, me??  No sir.  I don't follow sports at all, except to be aware of who won what so that I don't appear to be a complete idiot when around people who do.

I am a fan of 3D rendering ... first, last and always.  Fresh air and sunshine cause me to cringe and squint.  I am at home in front of my PC with a nice warm render, a cold can of soda pop, and the soft glow of my LCD monitors.
