Subject: Viewpoint Anyone?

BAM ( ) posted Mon, 07 May 2001 at 3:56 PM ยท edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 7:40 AM

Can anyone answer some questions about Viewpoint? I have two figures in a scene, no animation. The minute I move the mouse over the scene it goes upside down. Nothing I do gets it right side up again. Any suggestions? How do I set the center of the scene with two figures within so I understand the point about which rotation occurs? What is the link between the size of the poser picture and the size of the viewpoint picture? When I have two figures in the scene and I set my Poser picture to the same size as the Viewpoint picture there doesn't seem to be a match. Any suggestions?

What are you using the viewpoint for? If it is just for an imbedded html page like the one that poser makes when you export as Viewpoint, using the default settings there is a section called HTML viewport, it will let you adjust the screen size. Another thing that effects your image is your camera placement when you export.

Director, It does seem that which camera is used has a huge effect on what gets exported. I was using the main camera to no avail, but when I tried exporting while viewing from a side camera things seemed to be better. I still can't figure out why it is not wysiwyg with respect to what you see in poser and what comes up from Viewpoint. I have also discovered that holding the shift key while left clicking and moving the mouse allows one to move left and right and holding the CTRL key while left clicking and moving the mouse zooms in and out. I have gone to the Viewpoint page and so far haven't found anything that helps me understand the link between Poser and Viewpoint. I'll keep looking there too.

I have been using viewpoint moreso for creating things for the new Adobe Atmosphere Beta product. My main use for the HTML view is to get a preview. I like to turn off camera animations (in the export window) and use the main camera at around 120mm. I think the viewer tries to fit everthing in the scene that is visible into the preview window.
