Subject: I can't really upload anything!!! I need help, and questions.

dragontamer272 ( ) posted Fri, 09 February 2007 at 10:16 AM · edited Sat, 10 August 2024 at 2:59 AM

Okay, I tried to upload something, but couldn't because they keep saying things like, "You have violated one or more uploading specifications." orsomething like that.

I kinda finally found out how to upload, but now I'm upset because I can't upload anything else today or now. It say that I have already uploaded a mixamum today, but I haven't uploaded anything!!!! I'm asking, and begging for help, and advise.. it's only my first time here, I don't understand much here.

So if you could, please help me out with tips for beginners, information I need to know, and those things.

Did you read the text before uploading ?
There is a max image size and a max image size in KB's
There is a max in thumbnail size and a max in thumbnail size in KB's
Only one upload a day unless you Buy the extra upload space here at R'O

So when you read the info on the page ..i dont know what can be going wrong..
One thing i too dont get is when the site counts a ERROR upload as a upload ..thats pretty stupid in my book ;}

"sorry to nick your thread"!  but this is a question for a freebee forum, oh yeah! but we don't have it?!
A freebee forum, IMHO, would be good for the following reasons:

  1. info to newbies
  2. try to make standard rules (i.e. where to put the ReadMe.txt, for ex. and some other things)
  3. what are the most wanted items (useful information also for the market place)
  4. IMHO Renderosity is the best place on the Internet for free stuff (if you know a better one, let me know;-). Free stuff section is very attractive (personally I registered here for that); then after having downloaded many free items, one goes to the market place... The best is the free stuff section, the better will be the market place.
  5. market place and free stuff are usually intended for Poser stuff, but both should be developped also for other softwares. It's usually easier to lauch a trend with free stuff...
  6. Some people don't have so much money to spend, they rely on free stuff. Otherwise they give up. If a community can give them some support with some average good, free, products, well, that's not so bad! Some will continue seeking for vendors. Other will continue just for fun. Great, isn't it?

WE WANT A FREEBEE FORUM!!

P:S. We already have the moderator: Bar-Code

Dragon, check out our FAQS page..lots of info there ;)

LINK

The answer to your question is there in the 'Gallery' drop down menu..

"Question: My upload didn't seem to work and is not in my gallery then when I tried to go re upload it says I have exceeded my maximum uploads for the day?

Answer: If you upload an image by hitting “preview” and then don’t finish by hitting “save” or “abort”, that image just kinda floats out there taking up server space. So, that counts toward your one per day. Abandoned pending images get purged every night at 2 a.m. system time.   If you upload an image successfully then delete it, that does not count on your upload for the day so you can re upload again."
