I wish I had never wasted my money on it. I couldnt get a refund either.
You would be much better off getting something like PhilC's Designer set, cheeper and works much better. Can be found at CP or his site. You can also learn to model. There are many Free apps that work well, Wings3D my favorite, but there are good pay for modeling apps that are not to much more than VF's price. Silo, hexagon, Shade are quite cheep in price but very good modelers. You would need to test out the demos of all the modeling software to see and feel which works best for you. modeling apps are a personal thing, what works for some, might be a nightmare for you. So make your choice wisely.
Something not really advertised too clearly about Hexagon: it comes with a very solid collection of video+voice tutorials that are aimed at the novice to 3d modeling (e.g. me).
I have VF. I tried it for the first couple days I had it, then put it down, and have yet to return. I don't know where the issue lies, but it just does not feel intuitive enough for me, and the results I've been able to achieve are poor at best.
I've been working on a few other things lately, so I haven't had the time to return to it, but I have been thinking about giving it another try soon. If I can't achieve the sort of results I'm looking for, that will be the last time I try it.
From what I could find out, VF will give you the basic shape of a clothing item. If you want buttons, zippers, pockets, belt loops, all those little things that make the difference between a mediocre clothing item and a good or great one, you have to bring the result into a modeling app and add those things yourself.
Creating the basic shape that VF delivers isn't that much work in a modeling app that suits your way of working.
So no, I didn't buy it.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
