Subject: Netherworks Studios Site is Down

Netherworks ( ) posted Sat, 10 February 2007 at 1:48 PM · edited Sat, 02 November 2024 at 11:19 AM

Until further notice, the Netherworks-Studios site is down.

I will be ultimately infuriated if I go into all the tawdry details but let's just say we are having webhosted issues and have had issues with JaguarPC since going with their premium plan (can you believe that those with the budget plan get BETTER support?) and we are in the process of moving to new hosting.

It will take anywhere from 2 to 5 days to complete this process, which includes restoring the databases and re-pointing our domains to the new host.

Thanks for your time and I am sorry for the inconvenience - and I know how you feel since now instead of working on products, I have to work on restoring a website.  This could probably have come at a worse time, but no time is good involving something like this.

I have no standard email access at the moment.  I do have a gmail account for junk mail and you can try there if you need me:  netherworks (at symbol) gmail.com

I also check PM's regularly at Content Paradise and PoserPros.

Thanks for your attention and let's hope the server change brings a better 2007!

I'm subscribing to a Web hosting service soon, and thank you Joe for letting us know about the JaguarPC issue.

FYI :  Stay away from the domain registrar called RegisterFly; they lost so many of their clients' domains by taking domain renewal fees but failing to renew some of them and without any failure notices.    Do a Google search on RegisterFly and you can see tons of complaints against that registrar.   Some even say Registerfly and eNom conspire to steal away the clients' more valuable domains from the former, as all the stolen domains end up in one of eNom's branch companies.    Anyway, do research on the domain registrars or hosting services providers (google them) before subscribing.

Back to Web hosting:  The hosting service provider I'm considering is called BlueHost.    Judging from my google research, they have a great reputation, but there might be some hidden issues or unhappy customers of them, you never know.    So if anybody has used their services or is currently using them, please give me some opinions on BlueHost, I'd appreciate it!

Thank you in advance!

Ashley

Any word on when you'll have a version of Posewriter that works with Poser 7?

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!
