Hi All

How can I make a mat file?

  1. I'm using P6 and P7
  2. I need to save the textures with the nodes

I have no problem saving a texture but my nodes disappear...So is there a easy way to do this?

Lol,yep. Heres some links that might help. I've not done it myself yet so can't comment on them. http://www.cocs.com/poser/quickmatposes.htm He has tons of tutes there . Main page http://www.cocs.com/poser/index.htm At Daz , http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/tutorial/tutorial/-/?id=788 is a tute on how to make lovely thumbnails for your new MAT poses..... once you know how to do them. I have a vague memory of a little app that does the MAT pose thing for you, but that could be very wishful thinking/hopeful memory on my part : P Daz forum would probably be a good place to ask .

P.S.: The Quick Mat thing I saw is in the marketplace here - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=32964 and something called ShaderSpider at Daz - http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/shop/itemdetails/-/?item=3551 Good luck.

If you're using P6 and P7 (and P5), you can save the settings as a Material Collection file by either saving the single material or every material for the figure. This way, you don't even need a MAT pose. Though if you want to use the file in P4 (or Pro Pack) or if you want to use the file outside of the Materials Library, then you'll want to turn it into a MAT pose.
