Nice Simon theme Akemi and nice shots from you and Tunde. I wish I had some more exotic ones to show...though I did share that bright yellow one a while back. The top image is from a trip to Connecticut last year, and the bottom 3 were taken in my neighbor's yard.

OK, OK ....... I know, you wanted some interesting shots of mushrooms but I'm not fortunate enough to have mushrooms growing locally (not that I've see anyway!) So...... here's one sliced ready for the chicken and mushroom curry my hubby is cooking at the moment (he won't miss this one little slice will he??) Sorry guys and girls, just my moment of minor madness for the evening!! Have a great night!

Yes, perhaps I ought to start carving the pumpkins at Halloween instead of leaving them to hubby and the kids!!

Sorry, I know this should be a bit more serious and I apologise for bringing the game down to my level - but I can't beat you all, I can't even join you all, so what the heck ..... I'll just make a mockery of it!!! (It wasn't even a good capture - the lighting is awful!!!)

Gotta have a laugh though sometimes...

Chrissy - that is exactly the sort of things these "Simon" threads require... think outside the box and have fun... check onslow's post in the waterfall thread for instance 😄

BibbyBear - I'm afraid I'm gonna have to make a trip to the grocery store as well... Not much in the way of fungi around here that I can find.

The only mushrooms around here now are the ones my coworker "remembers" from his hippie years.
