Why is there not a cancel option on the upload page? Chuck

Are you referring to the gallery upload page? If so, then on that first screen if you don't hit "Preview Image" or "Upload and Save" but just exit out or hit the back button it does cancel it. If you hit the "Preview Image' button then decide you want to cancel there is an "abort" button which means cancel.

If this isn't in reference to the gallery upload page, please be more specific about what area you are referring to.

Your correct on the first count. I'm having trouble making thumbs that the system likes, but it does'nt tell you that until you hit the preview button. Chuck

And there in lies my problem. I take the render I want for my thumb to PSPXI, resize to e.g. 196x184(pixels), save as thumb. Go to 'upload', enter pic for thumb on CORRECT line. Finish everything else, hit 'preview image', and.... "Your thumbnail does not conform to standards" or somesuch, "......generated a new thumbnail for you.":O Now, I don't discount the possibility that I am doing something wrong, but I am batting about 500 on getting my thumbs the way I want them. BTW, I started this thread when this happened about 5hrs ago, so I just shut off my browser, and figured I'd start over this evening. Well... I'm back, and apparently I have already 'ul'd' today, so I have to wait till tomorrow. Errrrggggghhhhh. According to my 'homepage' and the relevent galleries, my last ul'd was sometime last week. Uh...Wheres my render, dude(ette)? (I really am a nice guy:) just a bit confused and frustrated) Chuck

If you hit the "preview image" and then don't either save or abort but hit the back button instead you end up with the image kind of floating out there on the server because you didn't follow it all the way through (this is addressed in the FAQ/Help section btw). Those "lost" abandoned images are purged every night at 2:00am system time.

What is the file size of the thumbnail you are trying to upload? It has to conform to all the size limits which is listed in red on the upload page.

Thanks for helping out on this Stacy. The thumb is 172x184 @ 8.6kb. Which is within the limits for thumbnails. Thats why I'm so confused.....could it be my browser? (Opera) I know Opera and the upload page are barely on speaking terms, as far as merchant credits are concerned. Chuck

How odd...well within the range...maybe it has something to do with the preview option?...do you preview everytime you upload, or is this just one time you did it this way?

I use Opera and the preview method every time I upload an image and have had no problems with the gallery. I know that doesn't help you much. More of an observation.
