Does Poser 7 render 2d (toons) like Daz Studio does?

I'd also like to see examples of d|s toon renders. ISTR it does 'em pretty good, but I don't have any links to any good ones. in the past, poser toon renders sucked pretty bad IMVHO, unless they were heavily postworked using techniques such as jwebster's.

This image was rendered in Daz Studio and has no clean up work.

good work, comp. I see from this that it's analogous to poser's "cartoon-with-line" display render, which I believe has been much improved in the most recent version, in regard to lines, colour zones et al.

the default toon render in poser, using the unmodified pose, lites, camera and bg for RQgirl_Rie.pz3, and the default draft firefly settings. it's pretty much the same as daz, I reckon.

compiler's toon shader is the sine qua non IMVHO. whilst still a member here, his shader file is no longer available :crying: revenons a nos moutons

*sine qua non * 😕 *revenons a nous moutons* 😕

I found those settings to work quite nice!

It would be nice to have outline on material's edge not only on mesh edge...

Also does anyone know if there are any good toon sketch presets???

Have a look at Olivier's Art Material Shader's at RDNA. There is a set of cartoon shaders and a set of more traditional sketch type shaders. Look at the product pages, they have more examples of art done with them. They aren't one-click solutions, but they can give excellent results. However, be warned, they are expensive. Here's a pic I did of Koji 1 using the Dry Shaders set.
