Is there any way to make an object level out along it's axis and lay perfectly flat after using the rotate tool? I can get it close, but not quite the way I want it.

You can click on the 'A' next to the selected object and enter the X,Y,Z coordinates.

if you hold down the shift key before using the rotate tool, it'll neatly rotate in 45 degree increments.

Ok, thanks, as i am new and don't understand the coordinates in the attributes yet, the shift key works better for me right now, but thanks to everyone for the tips

Ah, little grasshopper.. :)  After clicking the 'A' just type a zero in the X, Y or Z rotation space....depending on the rotation you want flat.  FYI for next time :)
