Subject: Great news - P7 and .dyn files

Tiny ( ) posted Sun, 11 March 2007 at 4:27 PM · edited Thu, 29 August 2024 at 5:05 PM

Anyone remember the hundreds of .dyn files created when saving a pz3 file with dynamic hair/fur (I'm thinking of the furred cat)?
Well, those days are long gone! I just noticed P7 does not save any .dyn files!
Must be saved within the pz3 file then. Very, very happy about this.
Way to go e-frontier! :thumbupboth:

Just wanted you all to know.

I was wrong about the .dyn files. They are still there.
Must have been a serious loss of brain cells before my first post.  😊

It is when you save a "hairy" character that's been loaded from library you don't get the .dyn files.
Sorry, for the confusion and misleading post.

You may have been fooled because P7 puts the temporary copies of the DYN files for a new unsaved scene in your preferences directory, only when you save do they get copied to the directory in which you save the PZ3.
