Hi there,

I am very new to Poser and I need some hair help please.  I am using V4 and as there isn't much free hair available I was thinking of giving the hair room a try.  I did....and ended up making V4 look like a porcupine.

Can anyone help me with hair. Either how to use hair room or where to get more freebies.  As I am so new to Poser i want to make sure I can and want to do this before spending too much money.
Thanx in advance

And you have also other tutorials on hair room all over the web. I think there is one also in Poser manual.

IMHO the hair room isn't worth the effort, yes you can get some nice results if you take the time to get it right how you want it, otherwise it can be a fag and dynamic hair takes a lot of resource during rendering!

Don't think you have to get V4 specific hair, a lot of hair propscharacters can be scaled and positioned to fit most figures and doing that is a lot quicker than the hair room!

I'm not trying to put you off using it, I'm just saying there are quicker ways!

There's quite a few V4 Hair Fit poses around, for a couple of Kozaburo's hair props among others.
You can't go wrong with Kozaburo hair - it's high quality, and it's free. You can find it at Digital Babes (see the link at the sidebar). I found some hair fit poses here in freestuff.

How to use the hair? Select Victoria 4, apply the hair prop, and then apply the appropriate fit pose. All done.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter

the nice thing about hair is that unless you're doing closeups, you can use all sorts of different hair on your models, with a bit of judicious scaling and orientation..;)

Wow, thanx so much for all your help.  I see now that the hair room is not as easy as I thought it would be.

i didn't realise that I can take other hair and just use a V4 hair fit pose.  I am assuming that I will find it more or less in the same place??  I feel rather clueless when it comes to all this but I really love using poser.
Thanx again for all the help.  Much appreciated.
