this site provide too many brushes

i know or i think this pics is made from these brushes that we buy

can any one help us or give us a lesson how to make thepics like this and do we need to buy the brushes

I don't think too much fancy brushes are used, most of what I see can be done with the standard Photoshop brushes. If you want to know how te retouch photos (I think a lot of people prefer a bit of a subtler approach than the puppet/robo look of M.E.), there are plenty of tutorials to find online. Search for "photo retouch tutorial" on Google and look around. No need to buy brushes. You might want a Wacom tablet.

I *do have a host * of brushes, and they are useful.... when needed.... . What  Hoofdcommisaris said looks right... standard brushes and a couple of filters... probably a good deal of the "picky-picky" detail work, too. Lou.

"..... and that was when things got interestiing."

have to say that if your planning on making a business out of doing it shouldnt you already be brilliant at it and not just starting>??

and i know of plenty of photography and printing websites that will probably do it cheaper than you

what extra qualities do you have to bring to the table??

soz matey

but i have already been through a business plan with loads of these types of ideas and thats what i got told by a guy who specialises in creative business advice

http://www.photoshopmama.net/ this photoshop user has some other demonstrations concerning powdering and sharpening photo's, i seem to remember seeing a link to some of her tutorials on youTube regarding this.

RawRyder ( ) posted Mon, 26 March 2007 at 10:33 AM

can you help me sending me a pro photoshop or any website that will help me to be a pro
i have a nikon d200 camera and i will take courses this month (photograph) and i know how to use the photoshop but i want somthing new and strange

doneydonydone ( ) posted Mon, 26 March 2007 at 11:25 AM

then the way to go is probably using paths in photoshop

you draw a path around an area of colour thats almost the same - rastorize the path into a vector shape -- then fill this with one colour - ((vector shapes can be scaled up and down without loss of quality))

repeat this witha few other areas of different colours and you will have a simple cartoon lookin face

it is quite simple -- but my original point was that loads of people and companies are already doing it so dont expect to make a living out of it so soon

that okay bro???

RawRyder ( ) posted Thu, 29 March 2007 at 5:04 PM

yeah thanks brotha for the information :)

karosnikov ( ) posted Fri, 30 March 2007 at 6:58 AM

Attached Link: look for a few things to do in the CHORES area.

I haven't purchased the the powder or sharpness from her but from what i've seen of the tutorials you could simulate what she does...or develop your own technique - maybe select a colour range perhaps filter gausian blur, and add mask to it... i want to make vids like these... much eaiser to talk than to type...

doneydonydone ( ) posted Fri, 30 March 2007 at 9:17 AM

gaussian blur and masking turns out nasty -- i'd do some tests with pen tools and vectors !!!

path the face, intresting, for the puppet look yes, it might work well - though i imagine subtle effects can be duplicated to make the image look less realistic,

doneydonydone ( ) posted Fri, 30 March 2007 at 1:49 PM

thats a link to lip gloss man

@ karsnikov -- the guy wants to do cartoon faces

@RawRyder -- i wouldnt purchase much before you experiment  -- the image you left a link to is clearly some type of vector just with some air brush texchniques added to give it some realism

the cheeks look like they have been airbrushed and there are plenty of tutorials on how to do hair -- check out the resources/tutorials area on www.deviantart.com -- IM me if you need more directions

karosnikov ( ) posted Fri, 30 March 2007 at 2:39 PM

btw RawRyder_ it's easier to link a solid explaination of the basics so any user can expand on the idea... i can imagine that any user with any skill level would read this thread and use the advice given by all the contriutors soon you'll be able to clone and retouch the way you want and utilise many methods to get the result your after. Goodluck with whatever images you process with Photoshop.
