I am getting some horrible results from the Anime Doll morph pack from DAZ. In spite of having all the service packs and updates installed, the faces look ridiculous and having applied updates all over again, can't seem to get anything remotely like the nice preview pictures. Anybody have any tips to solve this ?

I don't have the Anime Doll morph pak but this looks similar to problems I've had with other morphs on other figures. have you tried starting with a fresh cr2 of Anime doll from the library? Looks like maybe the previous face setting is still there even if the dial is at 0

What you see there is the result of starting Poser 6 from fresh, creating a new V3 SR2 figure, and then applying "Anime Female3 INJ". Other ones look similarly bad when using this same procedure. I have patched (re-patched in reality) International Beauty Morphs, and repatched V3 to SR2.

I have Anime Dolls too and have never used it after loading up a V3 and getting similar results...  I think it's supposed to look like this as it's not supposed to be a replacement for Aiko3 but a V3 interpretation of the anime style...  so one really couldn't expect it to turn V3 into Aiko3...

I'll stick with Aiko3 anyday!!!  That's my two cents!!

A fellow Bebop fan I see ! I do have Aiko but thought I could leverage all my V3 stuff with Anime Dolls but it just doesn't really cut it in retrospect. Thanks for the reply.

maybe it looks better when rendered, with shadows, hair, facial expression et al. personally I think mayadoll and aiko3 are better than animedoll.

Miss Nancy, I think this is the V3 morph that is called animedoll not the anime doll figure. Which I think is very good for creating anime characters. Shows why there are so many different figures, there are so many different tastes. I gave up with those morphs. Daz has some good products but do not bother to update many of these packages when needed.

Fae is so nasty!!!  Especially when she swindled Jet out of his clothes!!  Any of ya'll checked out Samurai Champloo??  It was the same team that did Cowboy Bebop and is pretty good!!  I ordered the dvd's and am working my way through it now!!

Also beryld is right...  the Anime Dolls morph pack is for V3 & M3 and just doesn't cut the mustard compared to Aiko & Hiro...  Mark for V3 clothes you may wanna get wardrobe wizard or clothes converter to let Aiko take advantage of Vickys wardrobe!!

jeez, that's a bit confusing - selling the animedoll character at one site, then selling anime dolls morph at another site. the animedoll character looks quite a bit better than that vickie thing IMVHO. maybe it comes with some instructions on how to make it look like it didn't hit every branch on the way down, when it fell outta the "ugly tree" :lol:

LOLZ!!  Nice one Nancy!!!   I just checked Daz to see and the promo renders look like V3 being overly attentive (big eyes) after being beaten about the neck & head with the ugly stick!!!  JK!!!  

To clarify this has nothing to do wit the Anime doll...  It's "Anime Dolls V3 Morphs" to try (not very hard) to give V3 an anime appearance (fails miserbly) LOLZ!!  If memory serves I loaded it up once and never did again!!!

Samurai Champloo? I watched both seasons on AdultSwim. I came out the same time as Full Metal Alchemist and the new season of Ghost in a Shell.

That V3 morph set was a good reason for Daz to go with A3 and Hiro. They did a pretty good job with those ones.
